WASHINGTON, DC – May 3, 2017

AMERIPEN, The American Institute for Packaging and the Environment, is pleased to announce that the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has joined the organization. According to Jeff Wooster, President of AMERIPEN, “The Plastics Industry Association is clearly focused on the need to produce packaging that is optimized to ensure a sustainable economy, environment, and society. They also recognize the need to tell their very positive stories to a variety of audiences. We are excited to have the opportunity to help them do so and contribute to the collective success of the packaging industry.” PLASTICS’ Vice President of Sustainability Kim Holmes added, “The Plastics Industry Association is pleased to join AMERIPEN, which has demonstrated thoughtful leadership in advocating for policy that drives meaningful recovery and design for packaging. Through engagement with this group, we believe AMERIPEN will serve as a resource not only for informing the policy agenda for PLASTICS, but also for our member organizations in the entire plastics value chain.”
